Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Senior Psychological Practitioner to join our dynamic team focused on enhancing the mental health of older adults. This role is pivotal in fostering psychological resilience and developing a comprehensive skill set in clinical practice.

The successful candidate will become part of our Stepped Care Therapy Team, which operates within the Older People's Mental Health Secondary Care Services. Our collaborative environment includes Clinical Psychologists, Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, and Occupational Therapists, all committed to delivering high-quality psychological services.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role encompass:

  • Conducting thorough psychological assessments, formulating treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to the needs of older adult clients.
  • Providing expert supervision and consultation to multidisciplinary team members, ensuring high standards of psychological care.
  • Engaging in collaborative work with integrated health teams, including physical health professionals and social care providers.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities, including specialized training in advanced therapeutic techniques.
  • Contributing to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects within the organization.

This role is ideal for both newly qualified and experienced practitioners who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults facing mental health challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • A Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with comprehensive training in various psychological therapies and assessment methodologies.
