About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Senior Project Manager for Enabling Works. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a transformative healthcare initiative, leading the strategic delivery of the construction and commercial elements of the Enabling Works Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide construction and commercial leadership for the Enabling Works Programme, ensuring alignment with project goals and NHS sustainability targets.
  • Oversee the management of project budgets, contracts, and procurement processes, ensuring best value for money and compliance with government frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, setting out key milestones, dependencies, and responsibilities.
Job Duties
  • Lead the procurement and management of construction contracts, ensuring alignment with government frameworks and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, managing risks and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Facilitate the internal handover process post-construction, ensuring services are set up to operate effectively.
  • Provide strategic advice on construction and commercial matters to influence organisational decisions and initiatives.
Person Specification
  • Professional knowledge acquired through degree, leadership/management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner Level.
  • Experience of leading and managing programmes, with considerable experience managing large capital schemes in the healthcare sector.
  • Experience of business case development for large or complex capital projects and of the work streams including Clinical Strategy, Workforce, IT and Estates.
  • Experience of managing and dealing with large construction and legal contracts.
