We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopmental Team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and adolescents, including the use of psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, and structured observations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions and adapting to the unique needs of each client.
- Provide specialist child neuropsychology assessments, offering advice and consultation to other NHS professionals, clients, and their families.
- Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients, managing and maintaining a caseload in line with service requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including statutory and non-statutory agencies, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients and their families.
- Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment of clients across various care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and in-patient settings.
- Ability to work with a wide range of client groups, presenting problems, and maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of challenging situations.
