Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead a team of operational engineers to deliver construction projects to time, cost, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement safety management plans to ensure the health and safety of employees, contractors, and the public.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to schedule.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project delivery is not compromised.
- Develop and implement quality management plans to ensure projects are delivered to the required standards.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Senior Authorised Person as defined by the Distribution Safety Rules.
- Experience in distribution systems through the range 11kV to 400v.
- Educated to a minimum HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience of distribution HV systems.
- Experience of specialist HV equipment for the relevant client networks.
- High Level of Customer Focus, adds value to the customer and ensures the team completes all projects to customer expectations.
- Team Working, manages and integrates well in a team and promotes good team work.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a varied workload, and communicate with people at all levels.
- Ability to work as part of a team committed to the delivery of high-profile projects.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, MS Project and other custom software packages.
- Understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation, CDM standards and focussed on safe working.
- Initiative, acts in the interest of the company to develop the business to agreed goals.
- A broad understanding of UK Power Networks Services businesses.
- An knowledge of UK Power Networks Services PC&G process.
- Travel around the SPN region/portfolio.
- Ability to manage time and to meet deadlines.
- To be skilful in decision-making.
- Relevant Safety Qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
- Knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations
