Position Overview

Marmion is seeking a Cost Consultant eager to advance their career within a consultancy environment, with a focus on progressing towards leadership roles.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will engage in various aspects of the Cost & Project Management operations. You will play a crucial role in business functions and be empowered to manage your own projects independently. Your responsibilities will encompass a full spectrum of commercial and contractor support, working on diverse projects throughout the North West. These projects may include small contractor extensions, large civil engineering works, high-value constructions, and specialized energy projects.

Primary Duties:

  • Deliver thorough commercial support including Measurement, Estimating, Contract Review/Administration, and procurement.
  • Oversee interim valuations, manage variations, conduct cost value reconciliations (CVRs), and finalize account settlements.
  • Participate in project management tasks to ensure effective project execution.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and specialized service providers.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in Cost Consultancy.
  • Experience in subcontracting, contracting, or PQS is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Professional demeanor, approachability, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • RICS accreditation or a commitment to achieve it.
  • A genuine interest in continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Excellent client management, communication, and presentation abilities.
