Overview

We are seeking a Holiday Cottage Cleaner for our National Trust properties located in the picturesque Western Valleys of the Lake District.

This role is ideal for both new applicants and current National Trust personnel who are interested in consistent work hours dedicated to preparing our holiday accommodations for visitors. The demand for holidays in the Lake District remains high throughout the year. Our cottages, nestled in Wasdale, Eskdale, and the Duddon Valley, provide the opportunity to work in stunning environments while enhancing the holiday experience for our guests.

Working Hours: 18 hours per week. The primary changeover days are Monday, Friday, or Saturday; however, due to short breaks, changeover days may also occur on other weekdays. There is potential for additional hours if you are available. Sundays are not included in the work schedule. Rotas will be provided in advance. Availability is required between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, with some flexibility on finish times for those with prior commitments. Personal transport is necessary for this position. Complimentary parking is provided.

Compensation: £11.50 per hour

Employment Type: Permanent

Internally, this position is referred to as 'Holiday Accommodation Coordinator.'

Key Responsibilities

On changeover days, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all accommodations are clean and ready for guest arrivals. This includes thorough cleaning, presenting the cottage in an inviting manner, and reporting any maintenance issues or necessary repairs. You will also be responsible for replacing any damaged items from the supply inventory.

All team members will be provided with full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and additional safety measures to ensure staff well-being.
