EVO is a leading company in the industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing products for sales tenders, managing products and suppliers for private label, and delivering continuous successful commercial negotiations that improve the overall performance of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Sourcing
    • Understand and source unique products for bids and tenders
    • Engage with suppliers and actively obtain supported prices for tenders
  • Supplier Management
    • Identify and develop long-term suppliers for existing and new products in accordance with the requirements of bids and tenders or the Group master range
    • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best price, commercial terms, and delivery of all products required
  • Commercial Negotiations
    • Source products to customer's specifications at the right price to allow the business to quote and win tenders
    • Work with the Group commercial team on all tenders ensuring pricing for goods is the best the business can obtain and meeting strict deadlines
  • Bid and Tender Management
    • Manage the full process of all bids and tenders including product needed to be stocked
    • Ensure that all new products are set up correctly and are communicated
  • Team Management
    • Manage a small team and ensure that all team members are communicated to and are involved in bids and tenders and product specification and tender dates are known

  • Travel and Communication
    • Travel to supplier sites and trade events, and the ability to assess supplier's capability to fulfill their contractual requirements
    • Build strong relationships and rapport with key personnel, interfacing at different levels with key supplier contacts

Requirements

  • Time Management
    • Ability to focus and drive to meet goals, deadlines, and manage their workload
  • Communication Skills
    • Developed communication skills and a high level of professionalism to work with senior personnel and suppliers
  • Business Acumen
    • Ability to manage critical business data in a confidential manner
    • Ability to run multi-bids and tenders and creation of project plans
  • Commercial Experience
    • Strong negotiating skills
    • Experience sourcing products from manufacturers (local and overseas)
    • Experience developing strong supplier relationships
  • Education and Certifications
    • Strong numeracy skills, the ability to manipulate and present data
    • Ability to successfully deliver multiple projects simultaneously
    • Excellent Excel and Word skills
    • Project management

Desirable Qualifications or Experience

  • Sourcing and working on bids and tenders
  • Knowledge of the business supplies and services industry
  • CIPS qualifications
