About the Position
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Sanitation Technician to become part of our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to advance their careers within a global organization boasting a turnover exceeding £2 billion. The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment are thoroughly sanitized at our facility.

Work Schedule:
4 on 4 off, 7am - 7pm & 7pm - 7am (rotating shifts)

Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining cleanliness in operational areas to the highest standards, including packing areas, storage, and the facility's perimeter.
  • Participating in waste management, monitoring water and electricity usage, and recording Sodium Hypochlorite levels along with any necessary corrective actions.
  • Handling cleaning agents in accordance with COSHH training and regulations.
  • Effectively communicating with the Hygiene Supervisor, Shift Operations Leader, and Area Leader regarding any hygiene-related concerns during shifts.
  • Adhering to all training protocols and ensuring compliance with BRC and COSHH standards.
  • Following the Hygiene Cleaning Schedule diligently.
  • Documenting all completed sanitation tasks on the appropriate sign-off sheets.
  • Adhering to established Cleaning Instruction cards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Working efficiently to maximize productivity and completing additional tasks during less busy periods.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong practical skills.
  • The ability to work quickly and methodically as part of a team while following instructions.
  • A solid understanding of Health and Safety policies in the workplace.
  • Food Safety Level 1 certification or equivalent.
  • COSHH certification.
  • Proficient understanding of the English language.
  • A willingness to undertake necessary training for this role and work flexibly.
