Job Title: SDR Manager

Apprentify is seeking an experienced Sales Team Manager to lead our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in Wilmslow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, building a high-performing team, and ensuring consistent delivery of quality new business meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Oversee the performance and results of the SDR team, ensuring they meet targets and deliver high-quality results.
  • KPI Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Regular Meetings and Feedback: Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to promote success, address underperformance, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Motivation and Energization: Foster a positive and productive team culture, motivating SDRs to maintain consistent activity levels.
  • Sales Skills Development: Collaborate with the internal trainer to embed sales skills and practices, identifying skill gaps and providing support for development.
  • Employee Lifecycle Events: Manage all employee lifecycle events for direct reports, including induction, probation, performance management, and career development.
  • Excellent Sales Skills: Demonstrate exceptional sales skills, particularly those relevant to an SDR role, to maintain credibility as a leader.
  • CRM Management: Ensure direct reports maintain accurate CRM records in line with company procedures.
  • Internal Sales Tools: Promote the effective use of internal sales tools to improve performance and monitor their usage within the team.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Support the recruitment and selection of SDRs as required.
Requirements:
  • Line Manager Experience: At least two years of experience in a line management role.
  • Junior/Intermediate Sales Experience: A proven track record of success in a junior or intermediate sales role.
  • Commission-Driven Experience: Experience working in a commission-driven role (desirable).
  • Commercial Education Experience: Experience working in a commercial education setting (desirable).
  • Sales Cycle Understanding: A thorough understanding of the sales cycle and key sales skills.
  • Performance Management: A thorough understanding of good practice performance management processes.
  • CRM Understanding: Familiarity with using a CRM system.
  • IT Literacy: Proficiency in producing reports and presentations to a high standard.
  • Strong Line Management Skills: Excellent line management skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with junior and senior colleagues.
  • Performance Management: Ability to effectively manage individual and team performance.
  • Workload Management: Ability to plan and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Commercial Awareness: Commercially-minded and professional in conduct and outlook.
  • Collaborative Approach: Collaborative approach with a focus on outcomes.
  • Integrity: Acts with integrity.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrates a problem-solving mindset with curiosity.
