Cultivating Christian Leadership: Head of Development

The Church of England seeks a dedicated individual to lead its Ministry Development Team (MDT) as the Head of Leadership Development.
This role is pivotal in nurturing the leadership capacity of future and current senior leaders within the Church, including Bishops, Deans, and Archdeacons. The successful candidate will champion the ambitious vision and strategy of the Church of England, striving to create a simpler, humbler, and bolder church centered on Jesus Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive developmental support for senior leaders, guiding their growth and equipping them for impactful ministry.
- Lead the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) and its discernment process, ensuring a rigorous and transformative learning experience.
- Design, implement, and evaluate leadership development programs, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
- Manage multiple cohorts of participants, providing expert guidance and mentorship throughout their journey.
- Engage external coaches and facilitators to enhance the breadth and depth of learning opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships and share best practices within the wider church community.
