About the Role

The Church of England is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Leadership Development Specialist to join our Ministry Development Team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of Christian leaders who will be faithful to their calling, fruitful in their work, and flourish as children of God.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and Deliver Leadership Programs: Develop and implement high-quality leadership development programs for senior clergy, including residential modules, mentoring, action-learning, and senior leadership experiences.
  • Facilitate Learning and Development: Act as the lead facilitator on each module, providing expert input and guidance to participants.
  • Identify and Develop Expert Faculty: Identify, commission, and brief internal and external experts to provide high-quality input and facilitation on the programs.
  • Support Ministerial Development Review: Supplement diocesan MDR schemes with tools to enable effective reviews, including 360 feedback processes and independent reviewers.
  • Collate and Analyze Data: Collect and analyze trends and data from program evaluations to inform future design and demonstrate impact.
  • Present to Governance Meetings: Present program updates and recommendations to governance meetings and project boards.
  • Manage Administrative Support: Oversee the administrative support provided by a Project Coordinator.
  • Contribute to Organizational Learning: Embed learning from the programs through enabling team effectiveness programs for bishops' senior teams and cathedral chapters.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who is a practising Christian. You will have a strong background in leadership development, with experience in designing and delivering programs for senior clergy. You will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the Church of England's vision and strategy, and be able to contribute to the development of Christian leaders who will be faithful to their calling, fruitful in their work, and flourish as children of God.
