Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to join our projects department at Connect Personnel Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of high-end fire alarm systems, ensuring the highest level of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of high-end fire alarm systems
  • Complete electronic worksheets, timesheets, and mileage/expense claims
  • Health and safety training will be provided
  • Ensure all relevant engineering practices are adhered to, reporting any inconsistencies to a senior engineer or line manager
  • Escalate to your supervisor or a senior engineer and the office if delays or difficulties are encountered
  • Update site logbooks with details of all work carried out
  • Maintain company-issued equipment in good condition and report any damaged, stolen, or missing equipment
  • Ensure good timekeeping and housekeeping at all times
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the Company employee handbook
  • Advise your line manager of progress and concerns on any contract/site you are involved with
  • Develop effective client relationships
  • Correctly represent the company in company-issued clothing
  • Attend training courses to extend knowledge and skillset of various manufacturers' products
  • Testing of completed circuits
  • Understand and adhere to CAD drawings
  • Make decisions on cable routes

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate with both external and internal customers in a professional and consistent manner
  • Installation experience
  • Computer literate, good general IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and outside bodies
  • Good organisational and time management skills
