Job Title: IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at AWD online. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our employees, ensuring that our information technology systems work effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line support for business users, resolving technical issues and improving system efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain IT hardware, software, networks, and other infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install, configure, and modify IT hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Implement software upgrades and ensure latest security patches are applied.
  • Set up equipment, such as PCs, laptops, and mobile devices, to ensure systems are ready for use and operating safely.
  • Assist users with software or hardware problems, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Perform basic server diagnostic routines and ensure server backup policies are working and maintained.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to minimize downtime and maximize system efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in IT support roles, with a strong understanding of technical concepts and systems.
  • Practical experience with internet and network security protocols, including firewalls and switches.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong technical documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical guides.
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with IT support ticketing systems and Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and other industry-standard applications.
