IT Support Technician / Second Line Helpdesk Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician / Second Line Helpdesk Engineer to join our team at AWD online. As a key member of our service desk, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line support for business users, resolving technical issues and troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
  • Install, configure, and modify IT hardware and software, ensuring the latest software upgrades are implemented.
  • Setup and configure equipment such as PCs, laptops, iPads, mobile devices, data projectors, and other specialist equipment.
  • Assist users with branch software or hardware problems, performing basic server diagnostic routines and ensuring server backup policies are working.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues with Microsoft 365 operating systems.
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience in IT support roles, with practical experience with internet and network security protocols.
  • Experience working with an IT support ticketing system, Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 desktop operating systems, Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Basic troubleshooting experience of networking devices and implementing planned changes to relevant support technology under change control.
