Job Title: Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition

Starhotels is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to join our team in London. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Organization Strategies: Identify and research human resources issues, contribute to organization strategic thinking and direction, and establish human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Guarantee Compliance: Conduct checks for new employees to avoid legal risks and ensure compliance with the law.
  • Implement HR Strategies: Establish department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, compliance, and labor relations.
  • Manage HR Operations: Recruit, select, orient, train, coach, counsel, and discipline staff; maintain compensation; determine production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies.
  • Develop Financial Strategies: Estimate, forecast, and anticipate requirements, trends, and variances for human resources operations.
  • Accomplish Special Projects: Identify and clarify issues and priorities, and accomplish special project results.
  • Provide HR Advice: Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions.
  • Guide Management and Employees: Research, develop, write, and update policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
  • Comply with Legal Requirements: Study existing and new legislation, and advise management on needed actions.
  • Serve as a Link: Handle questions, interpret and administer contracts, and help resolve work-related problems.
  • Analyze and Modify Compensation: Establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advise on Organizational Policy: Recommend needed changes on equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
  • Plan, Direct, and Supervise: Coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
  • Administer Compensation and Benefits: Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
  • Analyze Statistical Data: Identify and determine causes of personnel problems, and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices.
  • Maintain Records: Compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  • Analyze Training Needs: Design employee development, language training, and health and safety programs.
  • Oversee Performance Management: Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Chair Departmental Meetings: Briefings and internal or external training sessions as required.
  • Cooperate with Management: Ensure the successful application of the Company's Equal Opportunities and Harassment policies.
  • Anticipate and Resolve Challenges: Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges and complaint resolution finesse.

Language Skills:

  • English: Fluently.
  • Additional Languages: A plus.
