Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Financial Operations Coordinator to become a part of a dedicated Client Finance Team within a local authority. This position is offered on a temporary basis for an initial period of 3-6 months.

This is a full-time opportunity requiring 37 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current regulations, policies, and procedures related to Adult Social Care Charging.
  • Utilize the Document Imaging system for the scanning and indexing of essential documents.
  • Manage incoming correspondence for the Client Finance Team, addressing both written and electronic communications.
  • Respond to inquiries from service users of Social Care via telephone as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Adult Social Care, Transactional Services, and Corporate Debt on specific cases.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the council as required.
  • Provide effective clerical support to the Financial Assessment Team to ensure timely assessments and notifications to service users.
  • Process routine updates regarding changes in circumstances for various claims.
  • Deliver clerical assistance efficiently across the entire Client Finance division as needed.
  • Input data accurately into relevant computer systems.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Financial Administration or Customer Service roles.
  • Strong customer service capabilities.
  • Proficiency in utilizing a variety of IT systems.
