Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Ellesmere Port. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for tracking progress against budgets, implementing financial controls, and producing high-quality financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track progress against budgets and report variances as appropriate
  • Implement the global Survitec control framework and drive effective development and maintenance of financial controls
  • Collate and analyse data using standard accounting methodologies, systems, tools, and formats to deliver high-quality financial reporting
  • Produce key financial documents, including statutory accounts, monthly reporting, budgeting, and reforecast processes
  • Manage and participate in the monthly accounting cycle, including assisting with the organisation and coordination of the month-end process and associated Board reports
  • Ensure the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues
  • Provide support and advice to others on data management systems and gather and summarise data for non-standard analyses and reports
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice
About You:

We are looking for a qualified Accountant with industry experience, preferably with audit and accounting experience working unsupervised. Some experience of coordinating the work of others and stakeholder management is advantageous.
