Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Ellesmere Port. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for tracking progress against budgets, implementing financial controls, and producing high-quality financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Track progress against budgets and report variances to ensure compliance with local market financial laws and regulations.
- Implement the global Survitec control framework to drive effective development and maintenance of financial controls.
- Collate and analyze data using standard accounting methodologies, systems, tools, and formats to deliver high-quality financial reporting.
- Produce key financial documents, including statutory accounts, monthly reporting, budgeting, and reforecast processes.
- Manage and participate in the monthly accounting cycle, including assisting with the organization and coordination of the month-end process and associated Board reports.
- Ensure the business meets all statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
- Provide support and advice to others on data management systems.
- Responsible for gathering and summarizing data for non-standard analyses and reports.
- Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols.
About You
We are looking for a qualified Accountant with industry experience, preferably with audit and accounting experience working unsupervised. Some experience of coordinating the work of others and stakeholder management is advantageous.
