We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of Electrical design and draughting services to one or more projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute Electrical design and drafting activities, including Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study & Detailed Design.
  2. Check and prepare Electrical drawings and design deliverables, such as layouts, single line drawings, control schematics, wiring and interconnection diagrams, to the required technical quality.
  3. Supervise and guide less experienced designers in the creation and delivery of detailed design deliverables.
  4. Contribute to the review and assessment of working practices and systems to continuously improve systems, personal and team performance.
  5. Carry out site visits when necessary.
  6. Develop labor estimates, schedules, attend meetings, and supervise other design resources as required.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent written and spoken English.
  2. Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
  3. At least 10 years of design experience in the energy or other process plants.
  4. At least 5 years of 3D modelling experience (SP3D or PDMS).
  5. 2D CAD experience (Microstation J or AutoCAD).
  6. Lighting calculations (Chalmlite or DIALux).
  7. Exposure to Electrical or instrument design databases.
  8. Has or is working towards an electrical qualification (HNC/HND).
  9. Experience with Smart Electrical or other database software is a plus.
