Exciting Opportunity for a Graduate/Design Engineer - Highway Structures

Tony Gee and Partners is a leading engineering consultancy seeking a talented Graduate/Design Engineer to join our established highways team based in Esher. We are looking for a motivated individual with 18 months to 3 years of experience in highway bridge design and structures to contribute to our exciting projects.

As a Graduate/Design Engineer, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to deliver high-quality bridge designs for major road schemes. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and career with the support of our experienced team and a training agreement with the ICE or IStructE scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake structural analyses using industry-recognised software, such as LUSAS
  • Read and understand bridge engineering drawings on highway projects
  • Prepare mark-ups, sketches, and notes for engineering drawings
  • Develop knowledge of wider highway disciplines, including road restraints, drainage, and geotechnics
  • Communicate effectively in verbal, aural, and written forms

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • AutoCAD skills and experience with interrogating models and drawings
  • Experience with LUSAS software
  • Ability to write engineering reports and documents
  • BEng or MEng degree, preferably working towards MICE Chartership status
