Highway Design Engineer Opportunity

Tony Gee and Partners is seeking a motivated Graduate/Design Engineer with highway structures/bridge design experience to join our established highways team based in Esher.

About the Role

We are looking for a graduate design engineer with 18 months to 3 years of experience in the design of highway bridges/highway structures to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of an experienced engineer to deliver bridge designs for a major road scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake structural analyses using industry-recognised software, such as LUSAS
  • Read and understand bridge engineering drawings on highway projects
  • Prepare mark-ups, sketches, and notes for engineering drawings
  • Develop a working knowledge of highway disciplines, including road restraints, drainage, and geotechnics
  • Communicate effectively in verbal, aural, and written forms
Requirements
  • BEng or MEng in a relevant field, preferably working towards MICE Chartership status
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
