Job Description

**Job Title:** IT Technician

**Job Summary:** Bridge Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Technician to join our team. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to our school's software, hardware, and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to teachers and pupils, ensuring that they have access to the necessary technology to perform their duties and complete their work.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that maintenance and repairs are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Run diagnostics and develop plans to resolve technical issues, ensuring that downtime is minimized and productivity is maintained.
  • Install and upgrade software and hardware, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
  • Regularly check for internet issues and ensure that the network is stable and secure.
  • Maintain the school's network, ensuring that it is secure, reliable, and efficient.
  • Ensure that the internet systems are safe for children to use and protect them from potential threats.

Requirements:

  • A positive approach to work and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and software used within schools, including network infrastructure and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • An awareness of health and safety protocols, particularly in relation to computer equipment and electrical systems.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users, ensuring that they are informed and empowered to make decisions.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
