About the Role

The primary focus of this position is to manage the collection of outstanding debts from our clients while fostering and maintaining strong relationships with them. Additionally, you will assist with various finance-related tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contacting clients for payment to ensure compliance with agreed payment terms and achieving collection targets.
  • Setting up new customer accounts in our accounting software prior to activation.
  • Conducting credit assessments on new customer accounts and advising on credit limits to the finance team leader.
  • Accurately reconciling customer payments in the accounting system upon receipt.
  • Resolving customer inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Preparing monthly payment schedules for suppliers.
  • Addressing supplier inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Processing invoices for both suppliers and customers.

Skills and Experience


• Proficient in Sage 50 or similar accounting software.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.


• Experience in identifying and implementing service improvements and process enhancements.


• Collaborative decision-making skills within a team environment.


• Capable of generating practical solutions to challenges.
