About the Role
The primary focus of this position is to manage the collection of outstanding debts while fostering and maintaining strong relationships with our clientele. Additional finance-related tasks may be assigned as time allows.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively follow up with clients to ensure compliance with payment agreements and achieve collection goals.
- Set up new customer accounts in our accounting software prior to activation.
- Conduct credit assessments for all new accounts and provide insights on credit limits to the finance team leader.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of customer payments upon receipt.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Prepare monthly payment schedules for suppliers.
- Respond to supplier inquiries in a timely manner.
- Process invoices for both suppliers and customers efficiently.
Skills and Experience
• Proficient in Sage 50 or similar accounting software
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Skilled in identifying and implementing service improvements
• Collaborative decision-making skills
• Capable of generating practical solutions to challenges
