As a Care Home Assistant Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents, working closely with our Registered Nurses to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Nurse in monitoring the standard of care delivered to residents, ensuring that all residents receive quality medical and personal care.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes that impact on care and care plans.
  • Support the Home Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and business objectives, including preparing staff duty rota's.
  • Identify training needs of the team and support the implementation of the home's training programme.
  • Conduct staff supervisions and appraisals, ensuring they meet external regulator guidelines.
  • Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about providing quality care in a care home setting.
  • Experienced in a relevant care role, with the ability to evidence full competence.
  • Qualified in, or working towards, a level three health and social care qualification.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Up to date with all personal essential learning.
