Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support to students with SEMH needs, facilitating their learning and development in a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver targeted interventions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Utilize your expertise to support the development of Maths, English, Phonics, and Spelling skills, as well as other areas of the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting emotional intelligence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement effective behavior management strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA, with a strong track record of supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the educational curriculum, with a focus on Maths, English, and Phonics.
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
