The Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Interventions Focus

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in supporting a vibrant 2-form entry primary school in the BS16 area of South Gloucestershire. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by providing targeted interventions and classroom support.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective small group interventions across core subjects such as Maths, English, Phonics, and Spelling.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers to assess student needs, plan interventions, and track progress.
  • Provide individualized support to students requiring additional assistance, particularly those with SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment by fostering strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and maintain clear records of student progress.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or Qualified HLTA.
  • A strong understanding of the educational curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their academic and personal growth.
