Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support to students with SEMH needs, working closely with class teachers to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Assist with lesson planning, delivery, and assessment, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and engaging educational experience.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behavior management strategies, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and professional development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA, with a strong track record of supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the educational curriculum, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with best practices and developments in the field.
  • Emotional intelligence, with a patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with complex needs.
