We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 2-form entry school in the BS16 area of South Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will work closely with children with SEMH needs, supporting Maths, English, Phonics, Spelling, and other subjects.

The ideal candidate will have good communication and organisational skills, as well as a creative and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning. They will work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver interventions, and will be expected to be emotionally intelligent and supportive.

This is a full-time position starting in September, and the successful candidate will be part of a supportive team of staff who encourage children to love learning and be their best selves. If you are a qualified HLTA with a passion for supporting children's education and wellbeing, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with SEMH needs in Maths, English, Phonics, Spelling, and other subjects
  • Working closely with class teachers to plan and deliver interventions
  • Communicating clearly with parents and carers about children's progress
  • Being emotionally intelligent and supportive in the classroom
