Job Title: Safeguarding and Wellbeing Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Manager. This role is crucial in upholding our values and contributing to the creation of healthy, safe environments for gymnasts across Wales.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and investigate safeguarding concerns, ensuring efficient and effective handling of allegations, concerns, and complaints.
  2. Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities, ensuring the safety of gymnasts.
  3. Report high-risk cases to statutory services, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  4. Provide guidance and support to clubs and leisure centers to promote healthy, happy environments that prioritize gymnasts' wellbeing.
  5. Serve as a key point of contact for safeguarding matters, offering advice and support to stakeholders.
  6. Manage and support club Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training.
  7. Deputise for the Executive Director of Safeguarding, ensuring continuity of service.
Requirements:
  1. Degree, Diploma, or equivalent experience in social work or child protection is essential.
  2. Proven track record in safeguarding is essential.
  3. Experience in case management, lead or support role in safeguarding investigations and/or safety planning and risk assessing.
  4. Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
  5. Full enhanced DBS (to be contacted by Welsh Gymnastics. Any job offer will be conditional on the outcome of the DBS check and references).
  6. Ability to provide safeguarding advice and guidance to stakeholders, including gymnastics clubs and coaches.
  7. Competent in using Microsoft Office software.
