Job Title: Registered Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Service Manager to lead the operational management of our specialist supported living service in Braintree.

The service provides high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism who have complex needs, including mental health needs and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, select, and manage a team of staff to meet the needs of service users
  • Ensure continuous, reliable, and consistent service delivery at all times
  • Manage and deploy staff to meet the needs of service users
  • Perform effective performance management and compliance with CQC and commissioner expectations
  • Manage contracts and achieve planned outcomes
  • Prevent and manage incidents effectively
  • Provide excellent customer care to all stakeholders
  • Build and manage a high-performing team

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism who have complex needs, and at least two years of supervisory/management experience.

They will also have relevant experience in implementing Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) and positive risk management approaches, founded on the principles of least restrictive practice.

The candidate must demonstrate excellent assessment, support planning, and report writing skills, as well as a good knowledge of CQC requirements and care standards.

A relevant professional or practice-related qualification, such as social work, nursing, or management, is essential.
