Job Summary:

Creative Support is seeking a highly committed and professional Registered Service Manager to lead the operational management of a specialist supported living service. The service supports individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism who have complex needs, including mental health needs and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and selection of staff matched to the needs of service users
  • Management and deployment of staff to meet the needs of service users
  • Ensuring continuous, reliable, and consistent service delivery at all times
  • Performance management
  • Compliance with CQC and commissioner expectations and standards
  • Contract management and achievement of planned outcomes
  • Effective prevention and management of incidents
  • Staff support, supervision, coaching, and training
  • Excellent customer care to all stakeholders
  • Team building and management

Requirements:

  • At least three years' prior experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism who have complex needs
  • At least two years' supervisory/management experience
  • Relevant experience in implementing Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) and positive risk management approaches
  • Excellent assessment, support planning, and report writing skills
  • Experience of managing successful transitions from and into services

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional or practice-related qualification (such as social work, nursing, or management)
  • Good knowledge of CQC requirements and care standards
  • Experience of auditing services against agreed quality and outcome expectations
  • Good knowledge of PBS principles and strategies and legal/good practice frameworks
