Job Summary:

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children and Young People's Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for managing the referral and admission of young people into our centre, ensuring that statutory requirements, departmental policy, and Ofsted standards are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Referral and Admission Management: Manage the referral and admission process for young people, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed.
  2. Case Allocation and Review: Allocate work and review cases to ensure that statutory requirements, departmental policy, Ofsted standards, and administrative procedures are followed.
  3. Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise and performance monitor staff, assisting with their induction and training, and ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  4. Team Management: Assist the Deputy Home Manager and Registered Manager in organizing and managing a team of staff working in the children's home.
  5. Meetings and Training: Attend and participate in all required meetings and training sessions, including supervisions, appraisals, team meetings, and young people reviews.
  6. Individual Planning: Work with young people, their families, and staff to plan and implement individual plans that promote independence and reach full potential.
  7. Transition Support: Support young people through the transition process, assisting them to settle into their new homes.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Level 3 Health and Social Care NVQ or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge and understanding of quality care standards, Children Act 1989, and revised Children's Home Regulation 2015.
  3. Ofsted Experience: Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections.
