About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our diverse team as Clinical Pharmacy Technicians. This is an excellent development opportunity to gain specialized skills in a clinical role and support the Ward-Based Clinical Pharmacy Technician service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide near-patient medicine management services as part of our ward-based team across 7 days, ensuring cost-effective and efficient services are maintained throughout patients' stays.
  • Integrate into the ward multidisciplinary team, assisting in medication reconciliation at clerking, discharge planning, TTO medicine supply, and patient counseling.
  • Assess patients' own drugs, conduct audits, order and dispense medications, and check supplies.
  • Participate in extended hours, including weekend working, bank holidays, and late nights on a rotational basis.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
    • Dispensing Accuracy Accreditation (West Midland's scheme or equivalent).
    • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
    • Accredited Checking Technician (National Framework) or equivalent.
    • Plus one of the following:
      • Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.
      • BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science and Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills.
      • Equivalent as defined by the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Desirable:
    • Accredited Checking Technician (National Framework).

    • Committed to abide by the Trust Vision and Values.
