Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Clinical Pharmacy Technician at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized skills within a clinical environment.
Available Positions
We have multiple full-time roles available across various departments, providing a chance to be part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality pharmacy service. Responsibilities include:
- Providing near-patient medication management services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Assisting with medication reconciliation during patient admission and discharge processes.
- Participating in the supply and counseling of medications.
- Conducting audits, managing medication orders, and ensuring accurate dispensing.
- Working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as part of a rotational schedule.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician qualification and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- An accredited accuracy checking qualification.
- A minimum of one year of post-qualification experience in a hospital setting.
- A flexible approach to meet the demands of the service.
Previous experience in ward-based services is advantageous but not mandatory.
