Job Overview

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking dedicated Pharmacy Support Technicians for our pharmacy services. Candidates should possess a minimum of NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services, along with substantial experience in a high-volume dispensary environment, and a commitment to exceptional patient care. This role offers a chance to contribute to our automated pharmacy systems, enhancing patient outcomes.

We welcome applications from newly qualified pre-registration technicians, as we provide a supportive learning atmosphere aimed at developing clinical competencies for future healthcare positions.

This is a full-time, permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately under supervision
  • Assist in the procurement and management of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Recognize and address potential medication-related issues
  • Participate in the enhancement of outpatient pharmacy services
  • Safely deliver dispensed medications to patients
  • Maintain precise records of patient medication
  • Work collaboratively with team members to improve pharmacy automation
