Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Manager (Construction)

Location: Flexible working arrangements available

Salary: Competitive salary up to £80,000 based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulating and implementing effective sourcing strategies that align with the Infrastructure Construction Strategy, while identifying potential risks and liabilities in procurement and contract management.
  • Providing leadership and support to the team, fostering a productive environment while prioritizing health, safety, and well-being.
  • Overseeing the procurement process for sourcing and contracting, including the development of tender documentation, evaluation, and contract awards.
  • Managing Framework Agreements and ensuring optimal commercial performance from contractors, while maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Conducting negotiations and finalizing contracts with external suppliers, offering expertise in cost management and contract closure processes.
  • Implementing supplier relationship management tools to ensure regular supplier evaluations and performance monitoring.
  • Contributing to bidding activities to ensure budgetary compliance with business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in supply chain management within the construction sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of JCT and NEC Construction contracts.
  • Familiarity with business and procurement methodologies, processes, and strategies.
  • Proven track record in contract and supplier performance management.
  • Significant experience in team leadership and management.

Desirable:

  • Experience on the client side.
  • MRICS qualification or equivalent.
  • MCIPS certification.
  • Background in public sector regulated environments.
