Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Occupational Health Shared Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational health services to our staff across North West London and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Advice: Conduct comprehensive assessments of employee fitness to work, providing expert advice on health and safety matters to management and employees.
  2. Health Promotion and Protection: Develop and implement health promotion programs to protect employee health at work, including vaccination clinics, workplace risk assessments, and provision of advice on health and safety measures.
  3. Disability Support: Provide specialized advice and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to gain and sustain employment, and ensuring that they have equal access to opportunities.
  4. Training and Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of the Occupational Health Service through team meetings, working groups, research, and quality improvement projects.
  5. Client Relationships: Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, including management, employees, and other health and safety professionals.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, ensuring compliance with professional standards and legislative requirements.
Requirements
  1. Professional Qualifications: Possess relevant professional qualifications, such as a nursing degree or equivalent, and registration with a relevant professional body.
  2. Experience: Have significant experience in occupational health, health and safety, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services.
  3. Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  4. Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and manage a team of occupational health professionals.
