Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse Advisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to employees and managers on occupational health matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of employee fitness to work, including the discussion and processing of complex and sensitive information.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to employees and managers on occupational health matters, including the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement health promotion initiatives and programs to promote employee health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other health and safety services to ensure a comprehensive approach to occupational health.
  • Provide training and education to employees and managers on occupational health matters.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational health policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse with a certificate or diploma in occupational health or a related field.
  • Experience in occupational health nursing, including responsibility for managing a caseload or customer contract.
  • Supervision, instruction, training, and support of OH nursing and administrative staff.
  • Health and Safety Legislation, Code of Practice, and Guidance Notes.
  • Health Promotion initiatives/programs.
  • Recruitment, Selection, and Appraisal of staff.
  • Audit projects assessing OH, SEQOHS.
  • Organisation and implementation of immunisation and immunity screening programmes.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Teaching and Training programs on staff protection issues.
  • Experience in report writing and presentation.
