About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Medical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Health Care. As a senior clinical leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care and services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient care and service quality.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated, whole-person treatment and care.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
  • Provide expert knowledge and support to colleagues and the wider team.
  • Coach, mentor, and train colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Fully GMC registered with a relevant medical qualification.
  • Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis.
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity.
  • An accomplished leader and clinician with strong line management and communication skills.
  • Experienced within a mental health setting and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledgeable of all aspects of clinical governance.
  • Skilled in medical appraisals, clinical supervision, case investigation, and case management.
  • A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent.
