We are seeking an exceptional Medical Director & Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Elowen. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Clinical Governance
- Lead on all aspects of clinical practice and serve as an example of operational excellence
- Ensure optimal clinical outcomes for patients
- Provide expert knowledge and support within the service and to the wider team
- Quality and Compliance
- Ensure quality and compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
- Team Management and Development
- Coach, mentor, and train colleagues
- Fully GMC registered with a relevant medical qualification
- Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12 and AC Status
- Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
- An accomplished leader and clinician with strong line management and communication skills
- Experienced within a mental health setting and a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of clinical governance
- Skilled in medical appraisals, clinical supervision, case investigation, and case management
- A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
- A competitive salary of £170,000 per year
