We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Senior Claims Handler to join our Fleet and Specialist product team at Acorn Insurance. This individual will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of Fleet and Specialist products in motor claims from start to settlement, covering all Heads of Damage such as Accidental Damage, Property Damage, Credit Hire, and Third-party Personal Injury claims (Portal and Non-Portal). The successful candidate will provide an exceptional level of service and relationship management to our Fleet customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate all claims for indemnity and fraud, ensuring accurate and timely decision-making.
  • Assess liability, including communication of our decision, to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all potential claimants or representatives to gather key information and update claim files.
  • Accurately assess quantum claims using relevant tools and resources to ensure fair and efficient settlements.
  • Identify opportunities to intervene on vehicle losses, utilizing the expertise of in-house motor engineers to reduce overall exposure.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to validate claims and assess liability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple claims simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and best practices.
