We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Claims Handler to join our team at Acorn Insurance & Financial Services LTD. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Fleet and Specialist products in motor claims from start to settlement.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Validation and Assessment: Validate all claims for indemnity and fraud, assess liability, and communicate our decision to claimants or representatives.
- Case Management: Proactively manage cases, monitor and progress claims, and ensure accurate reserves in line with company guidelines.
- Commercial Decision Making: Minimize indemnity spend by making commercial decisions and utilizing resources such as specialist in-house motor engineers.
- Relationship Management: Provide exceptional service and relationship management to our Fleet customers.
- Performance Management: Account for own performance against set objectives and adhere to best practice and key strategies.
- Strong Communication Skills: Persuasive, strong, and confident communicator with the ability to relationship manage.
- Commercial Awareness: Ability to use own initiative to explore all options to achieve the best outcome for the business.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases.
- Industry Knowledge: Significant PI and/or credit hire claims experience, commercial market awareness, and extensive working knowledge of the Pre-Action Protocol, Civil Procedure Rules & hourly rate costs.

What We Offer- Competitive Salary: Between £26,000 and £34,000 DOE plus £2000 annual bonus potential achieved quarterly.
