About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our IT Services team as the Head of IT Services. This is a key role within our Corporate Services directorate, responsible for delivering high-quality IT services across the Council and its wholly owned companies.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of IT delivery and the associated networks, applications, and controls required by a high-performing service. They will be able to demonstrate their ability to build strong relationships across the organisation and with key partners to ensure our IT service meets the needs of the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the IT Services team to deliver high-quality IT services across the Council and its wholly owned companies.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the Council's corporate objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders to ensure our IT service meets their needs.
  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, applications, and services to ensure they are secure, reliable, and efficient.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
