About the Role

The Head of IT Services is a critical position within the Corporate Services directorate, overseeing all IT service delivery across the Council and its wholly owned companies. This role requires a strong understanding of IT delivery, networks, applications, and controls, as well as the ability to build meaningful relationships across the organisation and with key partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the Council's goals and objectives
  • Lead a team of IT professionals to deliver high-quality services to the Council and its partners
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address IT-related business needs
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the Council's IT systems and data
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to inform IT service delivery
