Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at AMETEK. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, control, and reporting of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of projects on a daily basis, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering project leads to manage projects effectively.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including project assignments and various project reports.
  • Plan, organize, and control project team activities, reporting on progress.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on project performance, including budget, cost, schedule, scope, quality, risk, and issues.
  • Maintain overall change procedures and impact statements.
  • Ensure project work results align with stated requirements, priorities, and strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external providers and review performance.
  • Communicate project progress and directions to the project team.
  • Raise project issues and risks, as well as quality and scope deviations, and escalate as necessary.
  • In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, select, develop, and oversee an effective team, allocating team members to project tasks.
  • Mediate problems encountered by team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline.
  • Track record of successful project management.
  • Demonstrates technical competence within the respective market segment for the project.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of project-based principles, practices, and operations, typically acquired by a professional qualification or equivalent in related work experience.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage the project process.
  • Demonstrates the ability to proactively engage, interface, and support internal Engineering and Business Development teams.
  • Able to manage and/or work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Experience of working with OEMs.
  • Good command of the English language and articulate communication skills.
  • Effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
  • Good presentation and communication skills to groups of around 10-50 people.
  • Significant Microsoft suite IT skills.
  • Full portfolio of project planning skills.
  • Able to prioritize job requirements to satisfy customer needs.
