About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our Major Project team at Johnson Controls. As Operations Director, you will be responsible for delivering project and business objectives within your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of project managers, framework coordinators, and construction managers to deliver projects and business objectives.
- Form strong working relationships with client teams and supply chain partners to drive EHS and Quality measures.
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Take ownership of project P&Ls and provide support and guidance to your team in developing and maintaining project programmes.
- Conduct regular safety and quality audits, monitor Environmental, Health & Safety performance, and ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
- Build close working relationships with the sales division and contribute to regular operational reviews.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project or operational management in the construction industry, with a strong M&E background.
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in analysing data to make informed decisions and experience working across multiple projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, with a high level of commercial acumen and experience managing H&S in a construction environment.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK, approximately 20% of the time.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of decarbonisation measures, such as installation of ASHPs, Solar PV, LED lighting, and BMS Optimisation.
- Experience working within the healthcare or rail sector.
- Experience within the Building Services industry, familiar with processes required in installing various mechanical, electrical, and fabric measures.
