About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at St Andrew's Healthcare. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and deploy staff to meet patient needs
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet individual patient preferences and needs
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to manage the care environment and reduce the use of restrictive practices
  • Build and maintain relationships with patients, families, and carers to encourage trust and understanding
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records and risk assessments
  • Participate in reflection and supervision to improve patient outcomes
  • Support the division to deliver specific outcome measures
  • Complete required ward audits in line with the Clinical Governance strategy

About the Team

Tavener Ward is a 16-bed inpatient care and rehabilitation unit for adult men with acquired or traumatic brain injury and complex mental health needs. Our team focuses on individual goal-planning with each patient, agreeing on specific behaviors to develop or reduce.

Our Approach

We specialize in the admission, stabilization, and treatment of adult men with complex mental health needs and neuropsychiatric diagnoses. Our patients develop a framework of skills to re-integrate with their community, and we offer a range of therapies and interventions to support their recovery.
