Job Title: Ward Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ward Administrator to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide essential support to our clinical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our wards and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including managing patient records, coordinating appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Manage and maintain electronic and manual filing systems, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
  • Arrange and take minutes or notes at meetings, as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to Band 2 administrative staff and temporary staff, as needed.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • NVQ Administration/Customer Service Level 3 or equivalent level of proven experience.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment, with a focus on customer service and communication.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and data protection, with a strong understanding of NHS priorities.
