Business Operations Role

Pump Services 2010 Ltd, a leading supplier and servicing agent for irrigation equipment, pump repairs, sales of pumping equipment and fittings, is seeking an experienced business operations manager to oversee the daily functions of the busy office.

The role is full-time, 40 hours a week, and involves managing the office, finance, and human resources departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the office operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning
  2. Oversee financial management, including accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and forecasting
  3. Lead the human resources department, handling recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration

Required Competencies:

  1. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities
  2. Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing diverse teams and stakeholders
  4. Proficiency in IT systems, including Xero and other electronic databases
  5. Experience with payroll processing and relevant legislation
  6. Ability to manage external client relationships and supplier accounts
  7. Extensive people management skills and HR experience, including knowledge of employment legislation

As the successful candidate becomes familiar with the role, an accounts assistant may be recruited to support with daily accounts functions. The business operations manager will play a key role in the company's future growth and development, particularly as the working directors transition into semi-retirement.

The appointment will be subject to the 90-day employment provisions.
